"Go forward bravely. Fear nothing. Trust in God; all will be well." Saint Joan of Arc, whose feast day we celebrate on May 30, is an amazing example of what is means to be a warrior for Christ.

Saint Joan of Arc is the patroness of soldiers. She led a life full of courage and bravery, so she is one of the best saints to ask for intercession from when it comes to the gift of spiritual courage. #JoanUp! 
At the age of 12, she experienced visions that she later declared to be Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Saint Margaret of Antioch.
At only seventeen years old she became a soldier, and fought among many others to recapture two different cities in France. “I am not afraid. I was born to do this.” is one of her most well-known quotes, presumably spoken during her entrance into the military during the Hundred Years War.
In battle, she was hit in the throat with an arrow, pulled the arrow out, and kept fighting because she knew she had to complete the mission God had called her to.
Joan was tried for heresy, which eventually lead to her death. She was burned publicly at the stake in Rouen, France.
Before her death, she requested that a cross be held at the level of her eyes until she died because she wanted to "have the cross on which God hung ever before [her] eyes while life last[ed] in [her]."
She was canonized 101 years ago, being officially recognized as a Saint that we can ask for intercession from, and take inspiration from when it comes to living out and loving the faith without fear.
